1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the SnapComp mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “user”) and SnapComp (“we,” “our,” or “us”).
2. Description of Service
SnapComp is a real estate intelligence platform that provides:
- Property identification via camera and GPS (SnapScan)
- Property boundary visualization (Walk the Lines)
- Map-based property search and exploration
- Property data including valuations, tax records, and sales history
- AI-powered property analysis and insights
- Market statistics and neighborhood data
Features may vary by subscription tier and geographic availability.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
4.1 Free Tier
The free tier includes limited daily scans, basic property cards, map search, and a limited number of saved properties. Free tier usage is supported by advertisements.
4.2 Pro Subscription
The Pro subscription ($9.99/month) provides unlimited scans, full AI insights, complete property history, comparable sales data, PDF/CSV export, no advertisements, and priority support.
4.3 Billing
- Subscriptions are billed monthly through Apple’s App Store or Google Play
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device’s app store settings
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days’ notice
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically download property data for redistribution
- Interfere with or disrupt the App’s infrastructure
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use the App to stalk, harass, or invade the privacy of others
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without authorization
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
6. Property Data Disclaimer
Property information displayed in the App is sourced from third-party data providers, public records, and, where available, Multiple Listing Service (MLS) data. While we strive for accuracy:
- Property data may contain errors, be outdated, or be incomplete
- Valuations, condition scores, and AI insights are estimates and should not be relied upon as professional appraisals
- Property boundaries displayed in Walk the Lines are based on assessor records and may not precisely reflect legal property lines. A licensed surveyor should be consulted for legal boundary determinations.
- Tax records and sales history are sourced from public records and may have a delay
SnapComp does not provide professional real estate, legal, tax, or financial advice. Consult qualified professionals for decisions related to property transactions.
7. MLS Data
Where available, the App may display listing data from Multiple Listing Service (MLS) sources. MLS data is subject to additional terms and restrictions:
- MLS data is provided for personal, non-commercial use only (unless you have an active Pro or Agent subscription)
- MLS listing information is deemed reliable but not guaranteed
- All MLS data is owned by the respective MLS organization and is displayed under license
- Listing broker attribution is provided as required by MLS rules
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, features, content, and branding, is owned by SnapComp and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App without our written permission.
Property data displayed in the App remains the property of the respective data providers and is licensed for display within the App only.
9. User-Generated Content
If you submit content through the App (such as property photos, notes, or reviews), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the App’s services. You retain ownership of your content.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPCOMP AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that property data will be accurate or complete.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SnapComp and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, disclaimer, and indemnification survive termination.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Leon County, Florida.
15. Dispute Resolution
Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue formal resolution. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
16. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
