- Location data: GPS coordinates when you use SnapScan, Walk the Lines, or map features (only while using the App, with your permission)
- Camera data: photos taken through the SnapScan feature are processed to identify properties. Photos are not stored on our servers unless you explicitly save them.
- Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and app version
- Usage data: features used, properties viewed, scans performed, and search queries
- Log data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, and crash/error reports
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Property data providers: we receive property records, valuations, tax data, and parcel boundaries from third-party real estate data services
- MLS data: if available in your area, listing information provided through Multiple Listing Service partnerships
- Authentication providers: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those services

- Identify properties based on photos and GPS location (SnapScan)
- Display property boundaries on maps (Walk the Lines)

SnapComp uses location data to power core features including SnapScan property identification, Walk the Lines boundary tracking, and nearby property discovery. Location access is requested only when needed and can be managed through your device settings.
- Foreground location: used while the App is open for SnapScan, Walk the Lines, and map features
- We do not track your location in the background unless you explicitly enable Walk the Lines tracking mode
- You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device’s Settings app
6. Camera and Photos
The SnapScan feature requires camera access to capture property photos for identification. Photos are processed using GPS metadata and visual analysis to match properties in our database.
- Photos taken through SnapScan are processed locally on your device and via secure API calls
- We do not store your photos on our servers unless you explicitly save them to your scan history
- You can delete your scan history at any time from the App’s settings
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
