霧 Fog — Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026 · Last updated: October 1, 2026

Fog is made by Steven Saccio Photography LLC (“we”). The short version: what you write in Fog stays on your device. We don’t collect it, see it, or have a server to send it to.

What stays on your device

  • Your worries, weights, revisit dates, answers and reflections are stored in a local database on your phone.
  • Your settings (language, reminder time, lock preference) are stored locally.
  • This data is included in your own device backups (for example iCloud or Google backups), which are governed by Apple’s or Google’s policies, not ours.

What we don’t do

  • No account or sign-in.
  • No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
  • We don’t sell or share personal information.

Purchases

Fog Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat, Inc. to verify purchases and restore them. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase and transaction history for Fog, and basic device information (such as OS version and country/store region) needed to validate the purchase. It never receives anything you write in Fog. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Notifications

Revisit reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Their text is generic (“Time to revisit something.”) and never includes what you wrote. No push-notification service or token is used.

Face ID / biometrics

If you turn on the lock (Pro), Fog asks your phone’s operating system to confirm it’s you. Fog never receives or stores your face or fingerprint data.

Exports

If you export your archive (Pro), the CSV goes wherever you choose to send it through your phone’s share sheet. We don’t receive a copy.

Deleting your data

Delete individual worries with a long press in the Archive, or delete the app to remove all Fog data from your device.

Children

Fog is not directed to children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its effective date.
