One Rock — Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 10, 2026 · Last updated: June 10, 2026
One Rock is a daily single-task focus app built on the philosophy of ichigyo zanmai — complete immersion in one action. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
One Rock is developed and published by Steven Saccio Photography LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Tallahassee, Florida, USA.
1. Information We Collect
One Rock is designed with privacy as a default. The app stores all of your personal data locally on your device. We do not operate servers that receive or store your task entries, notes, history, or reflection responses.
Data stored locally on your device:
- Your daily rock (task) entries and completion status
- Notes associated with your tasks
- Timer data
- Evening reflection responses
- Your language preference
- Your notification preferences and reminder times
This data lives entirely in your device’s local SQLite database and AsyncStorage. It is not transmitted to us or any third party.
Crash and diagnostic data: The app is built using the Expo platform, which may collect anonymized crash reports and basic diagnostic information to help identify and fix technical issues. This data does not include your personal task entries or reflections. You can review Expo’s data practices at expo.dev/privacy.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information
- We do not track your location
- We do not use advertising identifiers or serve ads
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing
- We do not use analytics SDKs or behavioral tracking tools
- We do not sync your data to any cloud service
3. In-App Purchase
One Rock offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock the full app. This purchase is processed entirely by Apple (via the App Store) or Google (via the Play Store). We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies govern the purchase transaction.
4. Notifications
If you enable morning or evening reminders, One Rock will request permission to send you local push notifications. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device and do not require an internet connection or involve any external servers. You can disable notifications at any time in your device’s Settings app.
5. Children’s Privacy
One Rock is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete your data at any time by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored entries, history, and preferences.
7. International Users — Japan and South Korea
One Rock is available globally, including in Japan and South Korea. Because we do not collect or process personal data on our servers, there is no cross-border transfer of personal information. Local notification scheduling occurs entirely on-device.
Users in Japan may have rights under the Act on Protection of Personal Information (APPI). Users in South Korea may have rights under the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). As we do not collect personal data, these rights primarily apply to any crash/diagnostic data handled by the Expo platform, which you can direct to Expo’s privacy contact.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
